On Tuesday, the rupee lost 13 paise to end the day at 82.12 (provisional) against the US dollar as importers’ desire for the greenback dampened market confidence.
The local unit started the day at 81.96 versus the dollar on the interbank foreign exchange and ultimately closed the day at 82.12 (provisional), down 13 paisa from its previous closing.
The rupee’s value against the dollar fluctuated throughout the day between a high of 81.96 and a low of 82.15.
