Samsung expands care+ warranty plans for home appliances, adds software & screen coverage

Samsung, India’s leading consumer electronics brand, has expanded its Samsung Care+ service to include extended warranty plans for home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwave ovens, and smart TVs. The new plans, available for 1 to 4 years, start at just INR 2 per day, offering comprehensive protection and convenience to consumers nationwide.

In an industry-first move, Samsung Care+ now covers software updates and screen malfunctions without physical damage—ensuring customers enjoy peace of mind for both hardware and software issues. “We are committed to enhancing the customer experience and expanding the availability of Samsung Care+ across all channels,” said GhufranAlam, Vice President, Digital Appliances, Samsung India.

The announcement has been welcomed by both retailers and buyers, who see it as a boost to consumer confidence in premium appliances. Local dealers said customers often seek long-term assurance on expensive products, and Samsung’s initiative could positively influence regional sales. Samsung Care+ currently provides access to over 13,000 certified engineers, 2,500+ service centres, 100% genuine parts, and multilingual support in nine languages, reaffirming Samsung’s commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction.
