Saurabh Vatsa to join Nissan India as Deputy MD

Nissan Motor India (NMIPL) has appointed Saurabh Vatsa as Deputy Managing Director, effective January 15. He will report to Managing Director Rakesh Srivastava and assist in implementing the company’s transformation roadmap for India.

Saurabh joins Nissan from Stellantis, where he was a member of the Stellantis leadership team and spearheaded the Citroen brand since its inception in India. Frank Torres, President of Nissan India Operations, expressed excitement at the appointment and underpinned Nissan’s commitment to invest $600m USD (5300 crores INR) in India as part of the Alliance. In this new role, Saurabh will support Nissan’s leadership for its transformation plan and prepare the company for its next phase in 2023.

He has worked with General Motors (GM) for over two decades, including long-term assignments in South Korea. Saurabh has extensive experience across Asian markets and deep automotive industry knowledge, having worked in strategic business functions such as Product Planning, Program Management, Sales Planning, Marketing, Communications, and Retail / Commercial Sales. He is a graduate of Delhi University, an MBA from the International Management Institute, and completed an executive management program at the London Business School.
