Few months ago Assam six indigenous communities of Assam had demanded for Schedule Tribe (ST) status.
On Monday, hitting the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by the Congress MP Pradyut Bordoloi slammed the government for delaying the status to the communities in Assam.
The MP through a tweet said, “Then Minister of State for home affairs Kiren Rijiju had said the (inclusion process) would be complete in three months — 8 years on, the people of Assam are still waiting!”.
