Seijosa police have arrested the accused in the case of firearms and drug smuggling

In a major development, Md Nurjamal Haque, also known as Rahul, a prominent drug distributor and the main suspect in a well-known guns case, was detained by Seijosa police, led by SP Pakke Kessang, Sri Tasi Darang. A police force under the command of SDPO Sri Sashi Dore, SI Sang Thinley, OC PS Sja, H/C Duyu Talley, HC (IRBN) Arman Tachang, and Constables Adam Namkang and Kalu Gyadi carried out a well-planned raid early on November 16, 2024. A rental home called “Kainat” in the Air Force Colony, Solonibari, in the Sonitpur district of Assam, was the target of the operation.

Following his involvement in a case involving stolen forbidden weaponry from the central kote of the 3rd IRBn Seijosa on October 20, 2024, Md Nurjamal Haque had been fleeing authorities until the raid led to his capture. According to reports, Md Nurjamal, also known as Rahul, is a major player in drug trafficking networks in the districts of East Kameng and Pakke Kessang in Arunachal Pradesh, as well as Sonitpur in Assam. Even though the arrest is a significant turning point, the police have stated that the investigation is still ongoing.

The successful operation demonstrates the Seijosa police team’s well-coordinated efforts, since their prompt action and careful preparation were essential in apprehending the fugitive suspect. This arrest strengthens law enforcement’s resolve to stop criminal activity in the area by bringing finality to the arms investigation and dealing a serious blow to drug trafficking in the impacted districts.
