Seminar on ‘Road Safety’ held in Noklak

Seminar on “Road Safety” was held at Thang Old Council Hall, Noklak village on February 1 under the theme, “Sadak Suraksha-Jeevan Raksha”.

According to DIPR report, Superintendent of Police, Noklak, Dr. Pritpal Kaur explained on three arms of driving – driver, machine and road and bridges. 

She elaborated on driving license, registration, insurance, emissions test certificate, mobile and alcohol usage and sense of humanity. “In case of transport vehicles, certificate of fitness and all necessary permits should be properly maintained”, SP added. She also elaborated on sign, symbols and traffic rules, do’s and don’ts and punishment under IPC and MV Act. Hands on demonstration on first aid responses were also given. Later, SP Noklak flagged off the Bikers Club rally of Frontier Royal Enfield RE enbloc.

Short speeches were delivered by TRPO president, Hangthing and president Frontier Royal Enfield RE enbloc, Changkamba Chang. 

ASI, S. Phee spoke on Motor Vehicle Act while project manager TI project, Noklak, J. Khumong spoke on Prophylaxis and first aid.

The programme was chaired by SI, Mongthei and welcome address was delivered by advisor MDU, Noklak.

Free medical camp for drivers was also held in the venue by the 45th Assam Rifles, Noklak.

The programme was organised by Noklak police as an observation of the National Road Safety month
