Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy threatens to move court against his own party’s government

Senior BJP leader and former MP Subramanian Swamy may move court against his own party’s government! The veteran politician has come out strongly against the central government, accusing it of Chinese encroachment on Indian territory and of not making public the actual map of the border. In an explosive post on social media platform X, he said that even though he has been alerting Prime Minister Narendra Modi about this matter since 2020, the government has been denying the issue. Challenging this stand, the former BJP MP gave a clear indication that he would soon approach the Delhi High Court.

According to Swamy, he has been bringing it to the Prime Minister’s notice through Parliament and through letters that China has been gradually encroaching and occupying Indian territory where there was previously no dispute. But both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the External Affairs Minister have been denying this clear evidence of Chinese aggression. Swamy also alleged that when he sought the complete actual map of the border areas of Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh, the central government refused to provide it. It is against this policy of the government to conceal information that the senior leader is now preparing for a legal battle.

It is noteworthy that senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy made this explosive claim after alarming information about Chinese aggression in Arunachal came to light. Recently, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Director General Shatrujeet Kapur officially acknowledged that there have been multiple face-offs between Indian and Chinese troops along the Arunachal Pradesh border and that the situation still continues. Swamy’s announcement of approaching the court, at a time when reports have emerged that China is obstructing Indian Army patrolling along the Arunachal border even after Corps Commander-level meetings between the two countries, has put the central government in further discomfort.
