A FIR for sexual harassment was filed against swimming Coach Mrinal Basumatary by Athletes of the SAI Training Centre.
According to the reports, the complaint was filed in Paltan Bazar, Guwahati, Assam. Also most of the Athletes were minor girls stated by Sports Authority of India (SAI).
SAI stated, “As SAI adopts zero tolerance policy towards sexual harassment cases, the same will be followed up so as to ensure that justice is delivered to our athletes.”
Further, the matter is referred to the internal committee of the nodal sports body’s regional centre. Also SAI refused to update much about the issue and they are handling the matter with high priority.
