Shatrughan Sinha is heartbroken . Last night in an interview said that he had called up Lata Mangeshkar’s family about 10 days ago and told them that once Lata ji comes home from Breach Candy Hospital, he and his family would visit her. But ,Alas ! We couldn’t meet her.
Sinha said that Lata ji was not just admired but literally revered. Revered for every song that she sang and She sacrificed her marriage for her family. Lataji was particularly close to Dharmendra, Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar and myself . She and I used to go each other house and if we went to her place she used to make food for us. Besides a singer She was great cook as well. She used to love cooking.
Lata ji continued to live in simplicity, Sinha underlines. “She would tell me and say she’s a fan of mine; she loves the way I say my dialogues. And how I can forget her love for the game of cricket?
