Shri Dharmendra Pradhan signed MoUs with IBM to promote digital skilling

Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today presided over the signing of 8 MoUs between agencies of Ministries of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and IBM and delivered keynote address on this occasion.  Speaking at the event, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said, that “These partnerships forged today will go a long way in making our learners harness the true potential of technology, making them future wealth creators and entrepreneurs of the society”.

The Memorandum of Understanding aims to offer curated courses to India’s youth, focusing on future-ready skills in emerging technologies like AI, cybersecurity, and cloud computing across various educational and vocational sectors. IBM is partnering with Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, National Council for Teacher Education, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to provide digital content from IBM Skills Build to high school students, teachers, and trainers online.

 IBM is partnering with various educational institutions to onboard students and faculty to IBM SkillsBuild, offering digital content, experiential learning, and technical career skills. The company will also continue its partnership with MSDE and the Directorate General of Training to onboard job seekers and school dropouts, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills for re-entry into the workforce.
