A 24 year old student of a G S Medical College of mumbai was allegedly ragged and against 17 of them were registered a file, KEM Hospital approached the police. According to the complaint, his hostel roommates and other students would verbally abuse, pitch casteist slurs and threaten him. Senior government officials said, that directions have been issued to district magistrates to assist the scheme of ₹ 50,000 out of the DDRF to such families and a public notice is expected to be issued.
