Indian police have registered a case against Twitter and prominent journalists for allegedly trying to spark communal tensions. Police say the journalists falsely insinuated that a Muslim man was beaten by Hindu men while sharing a video of the alleged incident on Twitter. Discovery of two planets orbiting a Sun-like star creates buzz in the scientific community

The Election Commission on Monday announced the dates for the three-tier UP District Panchayat President election 2021 and it will be held from June 15 to July 3. Earlier, panchayat elections were held in 75 districts of UP in four phases. The polling were held on April 15, April 19, April 26, and April 29. The nine nuclear armed states - the U.S., Russia, the U.K., France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea - together possessed an estimated 13,080 nuclear weapons at the start of 2021.
