Chinese man caught crossing India-Bangladesh border in Malda

The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a Chinese intruder along the India-Bangladesh international border in Malda, West Bengal while he was trying to cross the border illegally. The 36-year-old man was infiltrating into the Indian territory around 7 am. He was dressed in a black sweatshirt, pants and shoes. Upon being challenged by the forces, he tried to run away from spot. The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in collaboration with the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB) have done two separate studies which have shown that the Delta variant of COVID-19 can infect people who have received one or two jabs of either Covishield or Covaxin. Odisha logs 6,097 fresh COVID-19 Cases, 44 more deaths

Odisha logged 6,097 new COVID-19 cases at 8.86% test positivity rate on Thursday while 44 more deaths pushed the death toll to 3,167, said officials of health and family welfare department on Thursday.
