The Cyberabad Police on Saturday launched India's first-ever 'Transgender Community Desk' at the Gachibowli Police Station in Hyderabad. This desk is the first-of-its-kind gender-inclusive community policing initiatives in the country. The desk was formally inaugurated on Saturday by Cyberabad Police chief VC Sajjanar in a ceremony that was attended by over 200 transgender people. ’We get hurt for small things that happen occasionally. Clashes in Telangana’s Bhainsa leave several injured, 50 taken into custody

At least four persons were injured in alleged clashes between two groups in Bhainsa, a town in Telangana’s Nirmal district, on Sunday evening. The violence took place at Zulfiqar mosque in the town at around 8.45 p.m. Telangana Police imposed a curfew in Bhainsa area on Monday and took nearly 100 people into custody for questioning after late-night clashes between two groups left at least 10 people, including three policemen and a journalist, injured.
