J&K : 2 militants killed in Sopore encounter.

Two unidentified militants were on Thursday killed during a search and cordon operation in north Kashmir’s Sopore. "Two militants have been killed in the operation in Sopore’s Hardshiva area. Their identities and affiliations were being ascertained,” said a police official. The encounter began early Thursday after a joint team of the Army's 22RR, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation at the spot for terrorists. Taliban says it will punish kidnappers of Afghan Sikh.

The Taliban was not involved in the kidnapping of a leader of the Sikh community who was abducted by unknown persons in Paktia province of Afghanistan and his abductors would face justice from the group, the Afghan Taliban said on Thursday. New Delhi: Hyderabad-based drugmaker Hetero, which has approval to manufacture and market the generic version of the experimental COVID-19 drug Remdesivir, has sent 20,000 vials to five states including Maharashtra and Delhi - the two worst affected states in the country. Gujarat and Tamil Nadu are the other two states that will receive the first batch of the drug which is being marketed under the brand name COVIFOR in India.
