GUWAHATI: The Indo-China border standoff has pushed the Ram Mandir Temple Trust to put its plan to begin construction of the temple in Ayodhya on hold.The trust issued an official notice calling the situation 'serious' and that defending the country is what is of utmost importance right now. The decision came after the violent face off between India and China at the Galwan Valley in Ladakh.The Ram Mandir Trust has also paid tributes to the soldier while various Hindu organizations staged protests against China in Ayodhya.

Family members of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) secretary Snehashish Ganguly tested positive for Covid-19, the state health department said on Friday. The wife of Snehasish, the elder brother of BCCI president Saurav Ganguly was found to be positive for the disease, a senior official said. The mother-in-law and father-in-law of Snehashish also tested positive for the disease last week, he said. As the number of global coronavirus cases continue to rise, health experts fear a fresh Covid-19 surge as economies and states reopen more aggressively. The number of infections has topped 8.5 million with over 460,000 fatalities. The United States continues to be the worst affected with over 2.2 million cases and 119,112 fatalities. Delhi becomes second city to cross 50,000-mark after Mumbai

New Delhi: With a spike of 3,137 new cases in last 24 hours, the number of coronavirus in Delhi crossed the 50,000-mark, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare while adding that 66 fatalities were reported during the same period, taking the city’s fatality rate to 3.8 per cent. New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan, the Rs 50,000 crore mega scheme to provide jobs to the migrant workers who returned to their respective villages during the coronavirus-mandated lockdown. Goa: 90% of state’s 705 Covid-19 positive cases have been recorded in June

Goa, which has a relatively smaller population of 16.6 lakh, has reported 705 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) positive cases, which are comparable with states such as Himachal Pradesh (HP) that has a far higher population.
