On Monday, The autumn session of the Assam Legislative Assembly started during which more than 20 bills are expected to be introduced by the government. India vs. Pakistan match to resume today, 2023

Asia Cup, 2023 ‘Super 4’ has began between India and Pakistan at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo which took place on Sunday but due to bad weather the match got pushed to another day. According to the sources, due to heavy rain the match got washed away and eventually it was reserved for Monday, i.e. September 11, 2023. Detailing about the match, India was asked for batting and was at 147/2 in 24.1 overs after Pakistan won the toss. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam chose the bowling first. Further, the match is to resume today by 3 pm.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced about Assam Cabinet’s approval for Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) for panchayat elections in the state, Assam. Assam CM said, "The amended provisions will include constitution of a district delimitation commission to decide the size of the constituencies for zilla parishad, anchalik parishads and gaon panchayats.” According to the approved amendment, this will have certain provisions for the Assam Panchayat with fix minimum educational qualification for Gaon panchayat and higher secondary for anchalik and zilla parishad members. Youths to get trained for advanced technology uses, Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma flagged of ‘Skill Yatra’ for skill awareness programmes for Kamrup, Nalbari, Darang and Morigaon districts of Assam. During the occasion, Sarma also announced about collaborating with Tata Technology for training youths over 2 Lakhs for technology advancement. According to the reports, the Assam government and Tata Technology collaboration will train the youths for ‘Industry 4.0’. The youths will get the opportunity to learn technologies in more advanced way such as AI, machine learning, augmented reality and many more.

‘Bharat’ placard, Modi fuels name change row

On Saturday, New Delhi is hosting the opening ceremony for G20 summit in the country. Modi uses ‘Bharat’ nameplate instead of ‘India’ for the opening ceremony amid name change controversy. As per reports, he sat behind a table nameplate that read "Bharat", while the G20 logo had both names - "Bharat" written in Hindi and "India" in English.
