A36-year-old man, who went to catch crabs and fish in the Sunderbans area on Saturday morning, died after a tiger attacked him when he was chopping firewood in the forest, an official said. Goshto Naiya had set out on a small boat with three other men from the Deulbari area near Kultali in the South 24-Parganas forest range on Saturday morning, the official said. Four forest officials suspended over elephant deaths in Chhattisgarh

The Chhattisgarh forest department has suspended four officials, including a sub-divisional forest officer (SDFO), over the deaths of three elephants which took place earlier this week. As per the suspension order, the officials have been found guilty of negligence in duty. 11,929 Coronavirus Cases In India In 24 hours

Delhi Plans To Add 20,000 Beds Within A Week

New Delhi, June, 14.2020 : The Delhi government plans to add 20,000 beds across the hotels and banquet halls of the city over the coming week to cope with the spiraling coronavirus cases. Approximately 11,000 beds will be arranged at 80 banquet halls and these beds will be attached to nursing homes, sources said.
