 Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated 2.6-km-long flyover from Kamakhya Gate to Maligaon in Guwahati, touted to be the longest in Assam. Amidst, border tension between regions of Northeast since past few years, Khanduli area of West Karbi Anglong district bordering Meghalaya, a committee from the regions was formed to resolve the border dispute. Karbi Students Association (KSA) Central Committee and Jaintia Students’ Movement (JSM) from Assam and Meghalaya was formed to maintain peace in the bordering area of West Jaintia Hill district and West Karbi Anglong district.
