Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday launched the ‘Skill Uday Tongai’ skill development training programme at the Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT), Narsingarh, aimed at empowering 80,000 school and college students.
During the event, several other educational initiatives were also inaugurated, including:
State MIS Portal for better academic monitoring,
Career Guidance Programme for 70,000 girl students from 983 schools,
NSDC Programme for 7,000 college students,
English Employability and Entrepreneurship (EEE) Programme for 1,600 students.
Calling it a “transformative initiative,” CM Saha emphasized that skill development is key to shaping Tripura’s future workforce. He also inspected Drone Technology and honored two master trainers in the field, stating that drones can boost employment and productivity in sectors like agriculture, security, disaster management, and healthcare.
Earlier, Saha also inaugurated a state-level Teaching Learning Material (TLM) competition-cum-exhibition at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, reiterating the government’s commitment to quality education, scholarships, and student loans for deserving candidates.
