Sony AATH is releasing a family animation show titled ‘Kolpopurer Golpo’, which follows the story of Kanai, a hardworking farmer and devout follower of Maa Kali. The show captures the culture, emotions, and everyday life of a common man in Kolpopur, a small village in Bengal during the late 17th century.
The show Kolpopurer Golpo follows the story of a small fictional village in Bengal during feudalism. Kanai, a farmer and devotee of Maa Kali, is often troubled by Zamindar Dwarpanarayan, but he manages to escape these situations with his faith and honesty.
The show portrays the trials and tribulations faced by the peasant class due to the Zamindari system.
