Sony BBC Earth launches fourth edition of ‘Earth In Focus’ photography contest

Sony BBC Earth has announced the fourth edition of its photography contest, Earth In Focus, under the theme ‘One World, Many Frames.’ This initiative invites photography enthusiasts to capture diverse perspectives of India’s rich heritage, nature, and vibrant markets.

Participants can submit their entries across three categories: Markets: A Vibrant Melting Pot, Ancient Marvels, and Wildlife. The contest will be judged by renowned photographer Shivang Mehta, known for his contributions to wildlife conservation. Winners will be rewarded with a GoPro HERO12 and have their work featured on the Sony BBC Earth channel. The top 15 selections will also receive exclusive guidance from Mehta through a masterclass.

Rohan Jain, Business Operations Head at Sony Pictures Networks India, expressed excitement over the new edition: “We are thrilled to offer ‘Earth In Focus’ as a platform for talented photographers to showcase their unique views of the world.”Kolkata, a vibrant melting pot category resonates deeply with the city’s bustling, colorful bazaars, offering photographers a chance to capture the energy and diversity of these iconic spaces.
