German-engineered water blaster brand SPYRA has made its official India debut on Instamart ahead of Holi 2026, marking the entry of a global, innovation-led product into the country’s festive retail space. The move reflects how quick commerce platforms are increasingly becoming launchpads for premium international lifestyle brands. SPYRA, known globally for its precision-shot technology and rapid reload capability, delivers a high-performance play experience and has built a strong international following. Its India entry taps into the rising “kidult” trend, where adults are rediscovering nostalgia through premium, design-forward products. With Holi emerging as one of India’s most experience-rich festivals, Instamart is positioning SPYRA as a tech-driven upgrade to traditional water play.

Manender Kaushik, Head – Instamart, Alternate Business, said the platform has witnessed a sharp rise in both planned and last-minute Holi purchases over the past five years, prompting it to expand its festive assortment from flower-based colours and water balloons to premium offerings like SPYRA.

Sebastian Walter, Founder and CEO of SPYRA, said India’s culture of celebration and outdoor play makes it a natural market for the brand. SPYRA has partnered with Mumbai-based fashion-tech startup Bella Lifestyle, led by founder Suchi Sharma, to manage its India operations.

In Kolkata, quick commerce demand during Holi has grown steadily, with urban consumers increasingly opting for premium and experience-led products. Retail observers say SPYRA’s entry could strengthen high-value festive spending in the city, especially among young professionals and families seeking differentiated celebration options.
