Unidentified culprits on Monday attacked the newly-launched Vande Bharat Express by throwing stones on it in north Bengal’s Malda on the second day of the train’s journey after it was officially started by PM Modi on 30th of December.
According to reports no passengers were injured, the glass of a door of coach number C-13 was damaged because of the attack. Railway authorities have started an investigation, and have filed a case under section 154 of the Railways Act.
Monday’s incident, however, triggered a blame game between the ruling TMC and its principal opposition the BJP.
