Mizoram excelled at the 1st North-East Ju-Jitsu Championship in Guwahati, winning nine medals—six gold and three bronze—with a six-member team supported by the Ju-Jitsu Association of Mizoram. Athletes showcased skills in Ne-Waza, Contact Fighting, and the Fighting System, marking the state as one of the most successful at the event. The championship underscored the rising popularity of Ju-Jitsu in the North-East region, bolstered by local trainers and the sport’s recognition by national sporting bodies and inclusion in the Asian Games.
