A 75-year-old woman, Raj Laxmi Bardhan, died from her injuries at Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital one day after being assaulted by suspected robbers at her home near Banikya Chowmuhani, Agartala. Her son, Uttam Bardhan, discovered her tied up and injured when he returned home on Monday afternoon. She was promptly hospitalized but passed away on Tuesday morning. Preliminary investigations indicate that unidentified assailants entered the house to commit robbery, with two gold bangles and a pair of earrings missing, according to the son’s complaint. A case has been registered at the Bodhjungnagar police station, and an investigation is ongoing.
