Swiggy Limited, India’s leading on-demand convenience platform, has announced the launch of Swiggy Dineout’s Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF) 2026, onboarding Bhuvan Bam as the official ambassador. The two-month festival will go live from February 15, 2026, offering up to 50% off across 40,000 top restaurants in more than 60 cities nationwide. Branded under the theme ‘Bill Half. Party Full.’, GIRF 2026 integrates the popular BB Ki Vines universe into the campaign. Characters such as Babloo, Babli, Sameer and Bhuvan represent relatable diner archetypes, addressing common concerns like discount caps and fine print. The campaign will run across digital, social, creator ecosystems and in-app storytelling formats.
In addition to up to 50% discounts, diners can avail an extra 10% instant discount on HDFC Bank cards and receive 10% back as Dinecash on bookings via Dineout. The festival covers cafes, pubs, bars, luxury dining and family restaurants, and introduces limited-time Crazzzy Deals of the Day, complimentary cocktails at select outlets and extended happy hours. Dhruvish Thakkar, AVP Marketing and Revenue, Swiggy Dineout, said the initiative aims to drive higher footfalls and incremental revenue for restaurant partners.
In Kolkata, one of India’s key dining hubs, restaurants are expected to witness strong consumer traction during the two-month festival. With a growing appetite for curated dining experiences across Park Street, Salt Lake and New Town, industry stakeholders believe GIRF 2026 could significantly boost weekday and weekend footfalls in the city’s competitive hospitality market. Leading brands such as Cafe Coffee Day, Barista, Good Flippin Burgers, Punjab Grill, YouMee, Krishnapatnam, Biergarten and Ironhill are participating in this year’s edition.
