The engagement of departing TCS MD and CEO Rajesh Gopinathan with the group after September 15 in an advisory capacity is said to have been considered by Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran, according to sources from the Tata Group. Both IT giant Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Sons declined to comment on the development. There have been early negotiations between the two, according to unnamed Tata Group insiders, because the business requires dependable and experienced personnel as it diversifies into several technology fields.
