Tata Motors sales in the domestic & international market for Q3FY 2023-24 stood at 234,981 vehicles, compared to 228,169 units during Q3FY 2022-23, with a YoY increase of 1% in CV sales and 5% in PV sales. Tata Motors’ Executive Director, Girish Wagh, reported domestic sales of 91,735 in Q3FY24, slightly higher than Q3FY23. The M&HCV segment grew by 14%, driven by government infrastructure initiatives, core industry expansion, and e-commerce growth. The Passenger Commercial Vehicles segment saw a 19% increase post-pandemic.
In Q3FY24, wholesales increased by 5% compared to Q3FY23, with Vahan registrations rising by approximately 14% and 24% compared to Q2FY24. The company strengthened its market position by reducing channel stock and receiving excellent market response to the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari models. Emission-friendly EV and iCNG sales also saw significant growth, with EV sales posting a 21% increase and CNG products registering a 214% growth compared to Q3FY23.
Mr. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd said, “For Tata Motors, CY23 was the third consecutive year of posting highest ever sales of ~553K, led by its commanding position in the compact SUV segment and strong growth in hatches.”
