Tata Motors supplied 400 Starbus EV to DTC

Tata Motors has supplied 400 Starbus EV buses to the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) as part of a 12-year order to supply 1,500 low-floor, air-conditioned electric buses. These zero-emission buses, built on next-gen architecture and equipped with advanced battery systems, are designed for safe, comfortable, and convenient intra-city commutes across Delhi.

 Tata Motors has achieved the milestone of supplying over 1,000 e-buses across the country, in line with Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.On 5th September 2023, Shri. Vinai Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, and Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, jointly inducted and flagged off a fleet of 400 e-buses in the presences of other dignitaries.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Asim Kumar Mukhopadhyay, Chairman, TML CV Mobility Solutions Limited, said, “We look forward to strengthening our association with DTC by supplying 1100 more e-buses to DTC in a phase wise manner to fulfil the aspiration of making public transport in Delhi clean, sustainable, safe, comfortable, convenient and energy efficient.”
