Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, on Thursday announced a price increase of up to 1% across its range of commercial vehicles, effective October 1, 2026. The company said the price revision has been necessitated by an increase in commodity prices and other input costs. The extent of the hike will vary across models and variants, Tata Motors said.
The company, part of the USD 180-billion Tata Group, manufactures utility vehicles, pick-ups, trucks and buses and has more than eight decades of experience in commercial mobility. Its portfolio includes vehicles and technology solutions for applications ranging from last-mile delivery to public transport.
Tata Motors said its commercial mobility offerings include advanced powertrains, connected technologies and intelligent fleet solutions, with the company focusing on innovation, reliability and performance under its “Better Always” brand promise.
The company has operations in India and South Korea and a presence across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Southeast Asia and SAARC markets.
Following a Composite Scheme of Arrangement sanctioned by the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai Bench, the company’s name was changed from TML Commercial Vehicles Limited to Tata Motors Limited, effective October 29, 2025. Its equity shares are listed on the BSE and NSE.
