Tata Motors has entered into a strategic partnership with public sector lender UCO Bank to strengthen India’s commercial vehicle financing ecosystem by improving access to organised credit for customers across the country. The two entities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer attractive financing solutions aimed at making commercial vehicle ownership more affordable for entrepreneurs, fleet operators and businesses. Under the partnership, customers will have access to competitive interest rates, quick loan approvals, simplified documentation, high loan-to-value funding and flexible repayment tenures tailored to business cash flows. The companies said the collaboration would leverage UCO Bank’s extensive branch network and Tata Motors’ nationwide dealership presence to expand financing availability, particularly in underserved urban and rural markets, enabling faster vehicle purchases and deliveries.
UCO Bank General Manager and Zonal Head–Mumbai Shashikant Kumar said the alliance marks another milestone in the bank’s efforts to deliver innovative and customer-centric financing solutions, helping businesses expand with confidence. Tata Motors Vice President and Business Head–Trucks Rajesh Kaul said the partnership reinforces the company’s commitment to offering end-to-end mobility solutions by combining its commercial vehicle portfolio with organised and competitive financing. In Kolkata, the partnership is expected to support transport operators, MSMEs and logistics companies across eastern India, where UCO Bank has a strong presence. Improved access to structured vehicle finance is likely to encourage fleet expansion, strengthen supply chain operations and boost demand for commercial vehicles in West Bengal and neighbouring states.
Tata Motors offers one of India’s widest commercial vehicle portfolios, ranging from sub-one-tonne cargo vehicles to 55-tonne trucks and 10-seater to 51-seater buses. The company complements its products with SampoornaSeva 2.0, the Fleet Edge connected vehicle platform and a nationwide network of over 4,500 sales and service touchpoints to provide comprehensive lifecycle support.
