Tech Titans Unite: TCS, Infosys, and Wipro Roll Out 300,000 Microsoft Copilot Seats

India has officially cemented its position as a global powerhouse for artificial intelligence. In a massive milestone for enterprise AI adoption, India has emerged as one of Microsoft’s largest and fastest-growing rollout markets globally. The country’s top three IT services giants—Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, and Wipro—have aggressively scaled their digital operations by deploying Microsoft 365 Copilot to 100,000 employees each. This unprecedented move brings their combined commitment to a staggering 300,000 active licenses within just six months.

Puneet Chandok, the President of Microsoft India and South Asia, highlighted that India is rapidly becoming the global template for AI at scale. He noted that Indian enterprises are fast transitioning from basic pilot projects to full-scale, daily AI integration. This massive deployment is serving as a critical connective layer for hundreds of thousands of engineers and associates, fundamentally redefining productivity and software development across the subcontinent.

To support this explosive technological demand, Microsoft is heavily backing India’s digital infrastructure. The tech giant is planning a massive twenty-billion-dollar investment in the country over the next four years. Furthermore, Microsoft’s largest localized data center deployment is moving rapidly, with its highly anticipated Hyderabad data center region scheduled to go live as early as next quarter. As agentic AI begins to take center stage, India’s rapid tech adoption is setting a fierce benchmark for the rest of the corporate world.
