The Anti-Terror Team had dismantled a network that supplied illegal weapons into Azamgarh

The Anti-Terror Team (ATS) of the Uttar Pradesh Police asserted that with the arrest of two suspects on Saturday, it had dismantled a network that supplied illegal weapons into Azamgarh and nearby districts.
Ramshabd Yadav and Sanjay Yadav were caught smuggling illicit weapons into Azamgarh from Madhya Pradesh by the ATS’ field unit. They were found to have 10 illegal.32-bore pistols, two live rounds, ammo, two mobile phones, a car, and Rs 2,700 in cash, according to the ATS. According to the report, an accusation has been made against the detained suspect under the applicable Indian Criminal Code and Weapons Act sections.
At several Azamgarh police stations, Ramshabd is the subject of 31 cases.
