In a significant boost to Tripura’s healthcare system, the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital in Sepahijala district has been awarded the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. This recognition underscores the hospital’s dedication to providing safe, efficient, and patient-centric healthcare services.
The certification covers critical hospital departments, including Outpatient (OPD), Inpatient (IPD), Operation Theatre (OT), Laboratory, Pharmacy, Maternity, and Emergency units. The hospital earned the distinction after a comprehensive evaluation by State and National assessment teams, which assessed compliance with rigorous benchmarks in healthcare delivery, quality management, and patient safety.
Sepahijala District Magistrate Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal lauded the achievement, stating, “A major Sub-Divisional Hospital – Bishalgarh – has been NQAS-certified after rigorous scrutiny by Central and State teams. This is a big boost to quality health service delivery in the Bishalgarh Subdivision. A proud moment for all.” Hospital management expressed gratitude to doctors, nurses, health workers, and support staff for their dedication and commitment to high standards of care. Officials emphasized that the certification reflects the collective vision of enhancing healthcare infrastructure and ensuring accessible, high-quality medical services for residents of Bishalgarh and surrounding areas.
