The DC office in Arunachal commemorated Safer Internet Day

Deputy Commissioner Kanki Darang presided over the celebration of Safer Internet Day at the DC office in Tawang, Arunachal, as part of a collaborative effort to guarantee cyber safety. A diverse range of residents, including public leaders, and other officials, including Dr. DW Thongon, graced the event. In his speech, DC Darang emphasized the importance of cyber awareness in the internet age. Although the internet provides a wealth of knowledge, he claimed that if users are not careful, there are many risks.

He cautioned against the risks of providing personal information and clicking on dubious links, which can have detrimental financial and emotional effects, and encouraged parents and kids to use technology responsibly. The SP called attention to the astounding rise in cybercrime cases and encouraged everyone to band together and raise awareness, particularly in rural areas. He asked people to report any suspicious online activity to the authorities and reassured them that there was a cybercrime unit.

Similarly, DIO Dinesh Kr Rajak discussed the benefits and drawbacks of Internet technology at an awareness session held by the National Informatics Centre in Upper Subansiri. He emphasized that in order to stop cybercrimes, people need to keep their personal information private. DIO Sajal Gupta also spoke in honor of the day in the Anjaw district, covering a variety of cyber threats such as identity theft and cyberbullying. In order to further promote safe internet use, the West Kameng National Informatics Center also worked with instructors and students at Government College, Bomdila.
