The joint managing director of Kotak, KVS Manian, has resigned

Kotak Mahindra Bank disclosed today the resignation of KVS Manian, the Whole Time Director serving as Joint Managing Director, signaling a significant leadership change within the institution. Manian has opted to step down from his role to explore fresh opportunities within the Financial Services sector, prompting the Board to promptly accept his resignation with immediate effect.

Responding swiftly to this development, the bank has introduced a revamped reporting structure to enhance leadership oversight and streamline operations across its various business divisions. Going forward, the Wholesale, Commercial, and Private Bank segments will report directly to Ashok Vaswani, the bank’s Managing Director & CEO. Simultaneously, the Asset Reconstruction Division will now fall under the purview of Shanti Ekambaram, the Deputy Managing Director, who will also assume responsibility for supervising the Investment Banking and Institutional Equities sectors.

Ashok Vaswani, MD & CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank, expressed gratitude for Manian’s nearly three-decade-long tenure with the bank, commending his invaluable contributions.
