On Friday, a judge in this city denied Manish Sisodia’s request for bail in the excise policy case that the CBI had filed, ruling that the AAP leader was, at least presumptively, the criminal conspiracy’s mastermind.
The court stated that his release might have a negative effect and “significantly hinder” the completion of the ongoing inquiry.
On March 24, Special Judge M K Nagpal, who had reserved judgement on the AAP leader’s bail request, stated that he was hesitant to grant the request at this time.
