Tipra Motha demands UN action on minority persecution

Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma has urged the Indian government to hold Bangladesh accountable for its failure to protect minority communities. Addressing a rally in Sabroom, South Tripura, Debbarma condemned the rising violence against minorities, which he claims has intensified since the removal of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Debbarma accused Bangladeshi extremists of systematically targeting temples, churches, and minority properties in an attempt to displace these communities. He called on India to raise the issue at the United Nations, pressing Bangladesh to address minority persecution and ensure their safety.

Reaffirming his solidarity, Debbarma assured that the Tiprasa people stand with those affected by the violence.
