Tiranga Yatra cycle rally flagged off in Tawang to celebrate ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign

Brigadier VS Rajput, Commander of the Tawang Brigade, and Deputy Commissioner Kanki Darang jointly flagged off a Tiranga Yatra cycle rally this morning from the DC office premises. The rally, organized as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, saw active participation from members of the Monduro Cycling Association and ITBP jawans.

Key attendees at the event included SP Tawang DW Thongon, Additional DC Headquarters Sang Khandu, Dy Commandant ITBP Regi PD, along with senior officers from the army, civil, and paramilitary forces, as well as members of the general public.

In his address, Brigadier Rajput emphasized the importance of youth in shaping the future of the nation and congratulated them for their participation in the cycle rally. He reminded everyone that the freedom India enjoys today is the result of the sacrifices made by brave freedom fighters, and it is the duty of every citizen to safeguard this independence. “Through the celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga, we must convey to the world that Tawang is not just a district of Arunachal Pradesh, but the crown of Mother India,” he stated.

Deputy Commissioner Kanki Darang administered the Har Ghar Tiranga pledge to all participants and later felicitated them with certificates of participation. The cycle rally took a scenic route through Tawang, covering landmarks such as the giant Buddha statue, Tawang War Memorial, Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Stadium, New Market, and Tawang Monastery, before culminating back at the DC office, where DC Darang officially concluded the rally.
