Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the ‘Faith Bridge’ over the Tlawng River, a crucial infrastructure project funded by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, costing Rs 43.83 crore. The 100-meter bridge, designed to support loads of up to 385 metric tons, enhances transport safety and capacity, replacing older structures with limited load capacities. Delays in construction due to pulley failure were resolved through technical preparations, leading to successful completion in September 2025. The bridge serves Mamit district, supporting an estimated 85,000 residents and enhancing regional connectivity, agriculture, and access to key locations. The Chief Minister reaffirmed the commitment to timely, quality infrastructure development, emphasizing the importance of continued growth in road density, currently below the national average. Constructed by Poddar Infra Tech, the project adhered to strict quality protocols, utilizing materials tested comprehensively to ensure safety and operational readiness.
