Recently California has become the latest state to restrict student smartphone use under a new law signed by Democratic governor Gavin Newsome. In fact the legislation makes California the latest state to try to curb student phone access to minimize distractions in the classroom and address the mental health impacts of social media on children. This is very important news and we can learn many things about smartphones from it.
