TOPCEM CEMENT DISTRIBUTES SCHOOL STATIONARY FOR NEEDY CHILDREN OF  CHILD CARE HOMES AS PART OF WORLD CHILDREN DAY – 2023

On the occasion of World Children’s Day 2023,  TOPCEM CEMENT, in collaboration with Utsah Guwahati, undertook a  commendable initiative to distribute school stationery to the underprivileged  students of 10 Child Care Homes in Guwahati. This thoughtful endeavor is geared  towards supporting these children on their educational paths, paving the way for  brighter futures. The distribution event, held in Guwahati, saw the provision of  school stationary kits to institutions like Kalyani Niwas, Rupnagar, Seven Sisters  Children Home for Girls Bhagaduttapur, Sishu Kalyan Sadan, Jalukbari, Open  Shelter Home for Boys, Panjabari, UTSAH Education/Community Centre,  Bamunimaidan, Ashaneer Home Rupnagar, Amoya Cholihaloi Open Shelter Home  for Boys, Ulubari, Sneha Bandhan, Tripura Road, Jayanagar, Late.

Rishi Hazarika  Memorial Home for Children (Destination), Bhagaduttapur, Kasturi Children Care  Home, Suraj Nagar, Sixmile. The distribution encompassed approximately 12,000 pencils, 7,000 pens, and  1,200 notebooks, strategically allocated based on the specific needs outlined in a  proposal by Utsah. The officials from Utsah Guwahati actively participated in the  event alongside representatives from the beneficiary institutions. Dr. Anil Kapur,  speaking at the occasion, emphasized the fundamental right of every child to  education, expressing gratitude to Utsah for providing the platform for this  meaningful event. Since its inception in 2021, this initiative by TOPCEM CEMENT has been a beacon  of hope for more than 500 students from underprivileged backgrounds.

The  primary objective of this ongoing drive is to bridge the educational resource gap  for these children, ensuring that they have access to essential materials that  might otherwise be beyond their reach. As Dr. Anil Kapur affirmed, this  commitment to supporting education will persist, reflecting the company’s  dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of these deserving youngsters.
