Toyota Hilux Gets Special-Purpose Makeover for Indian Army

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) showcased a specially modified Hilux pickup truck at the Indo-Pacific Armies Chief’s Conference (IPACC) held in New Delhi on 26-27 September. The vehicle was developed in collaboration with an authorized external vendor and is designed to meet the specific needs of the Indian Army.The modified Hilux features a number of adaptations that make it ideal for military use, including: (1) A reinforced chassis and suspension for enhanced durability and load-carrying capacity, (2) A raised roofline for additional headroom and cargo space, (3) A winch and other off-road accessories, (4) Specialized equipment for firefighting and rescue operations

In addition to the modified Hilux, TKM also displayed a general-purpose Hilux at IPACC. This highlights the versatility of the Hilux platform, which can be adapted to meet the needs of a wide range of customers, including the military, civilian government agencies, and commercial businesses.
