Toyota Kirloskar Motor sales surge 24% in May 2024

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported impressive sales figures for May 2024, marking a 24% increase year-over-year. TKM sold 25,273 units in May 2024, up from 20,410 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales accounted for 23,959 units, while exports contributed an additional 1,314 units.

The company’s strong performance extends beyond May, with a 23% increase over April 2024’s sales of 20,494 units. Furthermore, TKM has seen a remarkable 48% surge in total sales for the first five months of 2024, reaching 1,22,776 units compared to 82,763 units during the same period in 2023.Mr. Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM, credited the growth to the company’s customer-centric approach and diverse product offerings. “Our unrelenting customer-centric approach has inspired us to stay ahead of the curve by understanding the diverse needs of our customers and offering a diverse array of products and services,” Manohar said.

Highlighting their latest addition, the All-New Urban Cruiser Taisor, Manohar noted its strong market reception and diverse engine options, including a 1.0L Turbo, 1.2L Petrol, and E-CNG. The Taisor, designed to meet the dynamic demands of the market, has commenced wholesales and deliveries across India.TKM’s robust portfolio includes popular models such as the Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, Fortuner, Legender, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hilux, and LC300, all contributing to the company’s growth. The Camry Hybrid, Glanza, Vellfire, and Rumion have also significantly bolstered sales.
