Train movement disrupted on Bangaon-Sealdah branch, passengers suffer

Again, rail trouble during office hours. Train movement on the Bangaon-Sealdah branch has been disrupted since Thursday morning. Due to a signal problem, several trains are not able to reach the specified destination. At the same time, trains were blocked on the Diamond Harbor branch after Wednesday as well as on Thursday. All in all, passenger suffering is extreme on rainy days.

There is no local train going to Bangaon from 7:30 AM on this day. Heavy rains overnight caused signaling problems on the Bangaon-Sealdah branch. Due to which there is a problem in the movement of trains in that branch. The train departing from Sealdah got stuck till Chandpara. Since then, trains are running late on that branch.

At the same time, Bangaon Local is running till Chandpara by shortening the journey. According to railway sources, the incident occurred due to a broken signaling panel near Bangaon station. Incessant rain since morning, on top of which train services were disrupted. As time went on, the stations became crowded with passengers. Train movement on the Bangaon-Ranaghat branch has also been affected.

Blockade due to late train at Diamond Harhar on South Branch on Wednesday. Because of this, the southern wing has been practically paralyzed since dawn. Less than 24 hours later, there was another rail blockade at Diamond Harbor on Thursday. It is known that at around 10 a.m. on this day, a group of passengers started a siege at Diamond Harbor station. However, the service returned to normal after half an hour. Around 10:30 in the morning, the police of the GRP police station spoke to the besiegers. After that, gradually normal train movement started.

Railway is one of the means of communication of district with city, suburb with city. But sometimes a bunch of local trains on the Sealdah and Howrah lines are canceled every week due to maintenance work, a signal problem, or some other reason. Meanwhile, there have been frequent disruptions of local train services on weekdays as well. As a result, the anger among the passengers is increasing.
