Tripura CM Credits PM Modi’s Leadership for Growing Tribal Support

Ahead of the elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), Chief Minister Manik Saha has expressed strong confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a decisive victory across all 28 seats. He said the party is seeing growing support across the state, including in tribal areas, due to what he described as public trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking about the upcoming polls, Saha congratulated the 28 BJP candidates who have been announced for the election. He said the party’s campaign is being driven by the confidence people have in the leadership at the Centre. According to him, this trust is not limited to urban areas but has also reached tribal communities in different parts of Tripura. The Chief Minister said the BJP is working with a focus on development and long-term progress in tribal regions. He also criticised previous governments, alleging that indigenous communities were often treated only as vote banks in the past. In contrast, he said, the BJP is trying to bring real changes on the ground.

Saha further said that if people in tribal areas are looking for development, the BJP and the Prime Minister can deliver it. He expressed hope that voters will support the party in large numbers and give it a clear mandate in the council elections. The TTAADC polls are scheduled at a time when political activity in the state is increasing. The council plays an important role in administering a large part of Tripura’s tribal areas, making the election significant for all political parties.
