Tripura CM highlights ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative in Agartala

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the patriotic essence of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative during a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan event in Agartala on Monday. Speaking ahead of the 78th Independence Day celebrations, Dr. Saha highlighted that the initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to foster nationalistic sentiments across the country.

“Prime Minister Modi introduced the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program to honor those who sacrificed their lives for India’s freedom and to safeguard our nation,” Dr. Saha remarked. He further noted that the program, first announced in 2022, encourages the hoisting of the national flag at every household, school, and college, as well as the participation of social organizations.

“The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is about instilling a deep sense of nationalism and patriotism among citizens,” Dr. Saha said, adding that the state government is fully committed to implementing the Prime Minister’s vision.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that a series of activities have been organized under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ banner, including the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Agartala. “Today’s event is one of many, with plans for cycling rallies, padayatras, and cultural events leading up to the grand hoisting of the national flag on August 15,” he stated.
