Tripura CM Saha Confident of BJP Sweep in Dharmanagar By-Election

Ahead of the April 9 by-elections in Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed strong confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a decisive victory in the Dharmanagar seat, surpassing its previous vote margin.

Addressing a large rally, Saha said the strong turnout reflects growing public support for the party and its candidate, Jahar Chakraborty. He stated that voters have firm faith in both the BJP leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Thousands of supporters joined the procession, indicating strong momentum in favour of the BJP nominee. Saha also called on party workers to remain committed to public service throughout the day, echoing the Prime Minister’s message of continuous engagement with people.

The Dharmanagar by-election will be held on April 9 along with Assembly polls in several states and Union Territories. The Election Commission of India has announced a paid holiday on polling day to ensure maximum voter participation, including among daily wage earners.
