The Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tripura, organised a round table meeting in Agartala Pragna Bhaban. The Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha was present as Chief Guest, and Union Secretary, DoNER Sri Lok Ranjan, IAS, Chief Secretary Sri J K Sinha, and Special Secretary (I&C) Sri Abhishek Chandra were also present. Around seventy investors from all over the nation participated in the discussion to find out about potential investment opportunities in the state.
The North East Global Investors Summit, 2023 is being organized by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India in association with Invest India and FICCI to boost investment and generate employment in the region. A State Level Round Table meeting was held in NE states to sensitise prospective investors, highlight potential investible projects, create awareness about Government schemes and policies, and gather inputs from stakeholders.
The meeting presented investment opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, tourism, handloom, food processing, rubber, tea, bamboo, information technology, higher education, health, and forest-based products. Industry-friendly environment developed in Tripura through infrastructure improvements. Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Tripura said, “We welcome all participants who have joined us today and extend our hand to help with any issues related to investments in Tripura.”
